Builder Journal: The Site Engine I Never Stopped Rebuilding

I’ve been trying to build a reusable “site engine” for years, first in PHP and CodeIgniter, then through CMS tools, and eventually WordPress. This time I circled back and shipped the version I always wanted, a multi-site system with blocks, themes, blogging, and predictable publishing. The twist is I built it from a ShipKit.ai template using AI-driven tasks, then focused almost entirely on verification and refinement.
